Who we are

Welcome to our site and our cookie & privacy policy, we are a small company and we take your data and security seriously. We are based in in the United Kingdom and can be contacted for general enquiries through our contact us page. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact Forms

We collect the minimum amount of data possible. Out contact forms are linked to email accounts, not to our servers (see Contact forms below). We have several apps/plugins that generate cookies, see Cookies below for further information). We only save emails on our WordPress secure database when a person registers to our site, becomes a subscriber and asks to be added to our mailing list for new blog posts and newsletters. We never, not ever, use any information for anything other than what it was intended and individuals have the right to access their data, delete their data, and forward a complaint at any time to our data controller, (see Data Controller Contact below).

The most information we take via contact form is Name and email, we do not ask for phone numbers, addresses or date of birth.

These cookies are associated with Google Universal Analytics. This cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the sites analytics reports. What happens if I disable cookies?

This depends on which cookies you disable, but in general the website may not operate properly if cookies are switched off. If you only disable third party cookies, you will not be prevented from making purchases on our sites. If you disable all cookies, you will be unable to complete a purchase on our sites.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment if you are using Gravatar.

Contact forms

Our contact forms only collect the data you submit such as name, subject matter and message. This data is not held on our server or database, the emails are stored with our relevant email accounts such as G-Suite, Gmail or Hotmail. These emails and email addresses are never used for anything other than direct contact with the sender. After a maximum period of 6 months (when the messages between us have finished) we delete all messages and email addresses from our email account. We never use your email for marketing purposes or pass them to any third parties as we take you privacy seriously.

Embedded content from other websites

Content on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

By default we and WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.

How long we retain your data

We keep contact form entries for 6 months, Google Analytics records indefinitely.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Right of access:

You, or your customer, can ask us what personal data is being processed (used), why and where.

Right to rectification:

If you, or your customer, want to correct, revise or remove any of the data we retain on you, you may do so at any time.

Right to be forgotten:

If you require we will permanently remove all your information.

Right to restrict processing:

If you believe your personal data is inaccurate or collected unlawfully, you may request limited use of your personal data.

Right of portability:

We provide you with the ability to move any of your account data to a third party at any time.

Right to object:

If you, or your customer, decide that you no longer wish to allow your data to be included in our analytics or for us to hold your data at any time, you may contact us to request removal of this data.

Our site is secured with an SSL Certificate, this is a Secure Certificate to provide security for our website by encrypting communications between the server and the person visiting the website.
